  5. 1. Is education a fundamental human right as Political Constitution of Colombia established?
    2. According to ‘Departamento Administrativo Nacional de Estadística’ (2013) only 1% of disabled people goes to the university. What do you think about the low university entrance rate?
    3. Are Colombian people being educated to belong to a social system, in which they lose their own identity because of its culture, context and customs?
    4. Garzón (1997) affirmed that Colombian education starts from the premise ‘Studying to get a good job’. Colombian government has been promoting ‘The Education for Work’ since 2010, training people in work practice by developing technical expertise and skills as well as training for artisanal, artistic, recreational and occupational performance.   9. 1) the Colombian students use uniforms to go to school, but in some developed countries like the USA this is not the norm. Do you think that the use of uniforms in public and private schools should change to students using the clothes they feel more comfortable with? Why? Why not?

    2) Do you think pruebas SABER 11 should evaluate the english listening skill in our country?

    3) Do you think that pruebas SABER should be cancelled, so the grades of students become enough requisite to enter university, such as in other countries?

  12. 1).Do you consider that materials such as English please and the Common European Framework have provided changes to the Colombian education since its implementation? State your reasons.

    2). In 2004 the National Bilingualism Programme was implemented. What was the initial point that made the Colombian goverment to implement this new programme?

    3).In 1979 French was a adopted as a subject in the Colombian education. Should the goverment consider French as a subject to be teach again in schools? State your reasons.

    4). As the Colombian goverment insist that learning english as a second language is compulsory for its national education. In ten years we can infer that English would be consider a official second language in Colombia. Do you agree or disagree?.
